Chacchoben ruins were very interesting

If you have any interest in Mayan Ruins, try the Mayan Extreme Tour with Native Choice Tours. Nothing “extreme”, but it includes the Chachobben ruins and a visit to a resort on the Bacalar Lagoon with lunch and an hour or so to spend kayaking, swimming or relaxing on the beach. For a great beach day, book Maya Chan. Book early since they sell out many times, especially if more than one ship is in port.

Chaccoben is about an hour's drive from the dock. It's not the most spectacular ruin, but it is interesting and worthwhile.
