Don’t just stay in the port area. Take a taxi to Mahuahual beach and visit one of the beach clubs there. Krazy Lobster is a popular one. Food and drink is cheaper than in port. To use the chairs at the port you have to spend at least $10 per person. I do not remember seeing lockers in the area. I would not bring anything valuable. Get a waterproof case for your phone and cash and ship card.

we took a taxi to the next town, Mahahual. Right on the beach with resturants and massages on the beach. If you are looking for something different

they didn't have lockers when I was there

We have a waterproof backpack with a combination lock we purchased from Amazon. We store our belongings there and lock it somewhere within eye sight. 4 cruises with it and haven't had a problem. Knock on wood. WaterSeals Traveling, Gray, One Size https://a.co/d/aemDRnx

The only lockers I have seen are by the dolphin area, but I believe they are exclusively for use by those participating in the dolphin encounters.

Take cash for port purchases. Lots of complaints about fraudulent credit card charges at the port.
