They greatly enjoy US dollars. But if you have a credit card with no foreign transaction fees, use it and tell them to charge you in pesos. You’ll save a good 10% or more by not getting slammed with a bogus exchange rate.

Definitely. But don't get annoyed when you find out the locals pay less with pesos. The merchants still get charged a fee to get cash dollars back to their local currency

pretty much any where in the Caribbean will take USD but really keep small bills and anything big use credit card have the card calculate the conversions so you don't get scammed

always carry small bills, that way you're never out much if they don't or can't make change.
