Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico Port Q&A

Comments say the dock is a half mile long walk to the shore. Does anyone know if the ships or the Port offer transportation such as golf carts or bicycle buggys to assist those with disabilities to shore?

It's just under a quarter mile and the trolley has been running for our past 3 cruises since the re-start.

Costa Maya has a tram on the Port that's free, but customary to tip the driver's. Usually the tram holds around 30 ppl at a time

I'm wondering if I should cancel our excursion. I can't walk that far. And it's not a ship excursion so I doubt I can get assistance from Azamara.

I don't remember it being a half mile long but it is definitely a long walk.

there are usually golf carts talking people from the cruise to the port.

we went in November when there were only two RCCL ships and the tram was nowhere to be seen. Maybe it's just a Carnival amenity

Depending on time you get there sometimes there’s transportation

we took a tram when we were there in October

The tram on the dock does not run consistently and seems to not run if more than 2 ships are in port since the dock is crowded with passengers.

Both times I was there, a tram took you to and fro from ship to port.
