We visited a gorgeous old church and a plantation with rum tasting. Very fun! Great tour guide!

We went to Grand Anse beach - pretty to look out, but we couldn't believe how much junk there was in the water - old clothes, broken bottles, etc. The downtown area where the ship docks is not very nice.

We took a taxi tour of the island. Very much of the island was in poor condition due to hurrcaine Ivan. Local shop keeps were too agressive.

I did an unofficial excursion which was very interesting (spice tour). The town was fine, but hit hard by hurricanes (a common refrain).

We took the water taxi to Grand Anse beach - it was a Sunday so not many vendors open at the market but plenty of opportunities for spices at the port. Loved Grand Anse beach - several starfish near beach to see.
