Great stop! Amazingly beautiful island. Did the favorites tour and visited three top attractions with informative tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared some of the day-to-day aspects of their lifestyle. A swim in the emerald pool is not to be missed! Amazing waterfalls! Great views and friendly people. Plenty of cheap shopping around the pier. Lots of taxi drivers and hair braiders looking for your business but aren’t pushy after a simple no thanks.

We took a sightseeing trip through the rainforest and other parts of town. Dominica is a very poor and underdeveloped country; not the best stop on our cruise, but people are very friendly

We took the Emerald Pool Tour. Though it was nice to see, we could not enjoy it. The path leading to it is very narrow and there were too many tour groups going in that it got too crowded.

Second time for us in Dominica. Apart from the must see waterfalls, you would be deeply sadened by the condition of the people. You should book your Dominica island excursions with the ship, otherwise the weather conditions on the island are highly unpredictable.
