Look for the taxi shuttle that is only $2 into the city. Saves 1 mile of walking. We did the museum which was very interesting...good history. And then walked up to the botanical gardens to see the bus (no casualties) crushed in the David Hurricane in 1979 (?) and amazing stands of bamboo.

If you’re prone to motion sickness be sure to take some medicine before exploring the island! Driving around is intense because of the mountains and narrow roads. However, we spent the day exploring Titou Gorge and the sulphur hot springs and it was amazing!

Got a local taxi from the port, great guide, took us to some amazing places, especially the gorge, it's a do not miss place. Beautiful island.

Good port. I took a Princess excursion which was a City drive and a visit to Trafalgar Falls. The city looked quite typical of a Caribbean island. The scenery was stunning as always and I found it remarkable just how green the island was. Trafalgar Falls was impressive, you follow a rough path about 5 minutes to arrive at the twin falls. Very picturesque. The roads are quite narrow and -at points- very steep. Friendly people and a nice visit. The ship docked outside of town, so it’s a walk of about 20 minutes (I would estimate) and as always there are taxis. No hard sell at the port from locals which is appreciated. Remember no camouflage to be worn.

Local Tour: Serenity Tours and Taxi Our own personal tour. He drove us to the North side of the island to Toucari Bay for snorkeling and lunch. THE BEST snorkeling!! I could have stayed there for days! There were tube sponges, spiny sea urchins, needle fish, schools of squid, small yellow fish in sea grass, tiny dark fish by the rocks. We actually saw an octopus, which was awesome (!!) and a Rock Fish blending right in to the rock he was perched on. ** Best port day of the trip **
