This was our second time to this island. We did the zip line at Lotterie Farms...challenging and fun.

A woman just died from the jet blast at Princess Juliana Airport. She was holding onto the fence and she could not hang on. The force threw her backwards causing serious injuries which she died from.

a great port. No need to go far to find a beach and a few drinks. Just hop on the water taxi and take a right once you get on the dock.

Another nice stop on this cruise. Went parasailing. That was awesome. Quite a bit of leftover hurricane destruction made getting around the island a little sketchy, but it worked out. Never really harrassed by the locals either.

I give St. Maarten 5 stars but the excursion only gets 2 stars!! We booked the Discover St. Maarten by jeep tour through MSC and was very disappointed! Not once did we go off road/trails. We didn’t drive by half of the places listed in the description or stop in Marigot or at any shops or markets! You also need to be a very aggressive driver to keep up with the jeeps in front of you! At one point we couldn’t see them in front of us because of all the traffic! Glad they had Walkie-talkies! It was an anxiety filled day! MSC did issue all of us a refund.

Once again, there is zero reason to shop here. Same exact things as St Thomas, repeated a dozen more times. Rent a car (not from the cruise) and run away for the day. It is cheap and a whole lot more entertaining and immersive. I do have to admit, the water taxis are spectacular here. Well run, clean, professional. Best of all, quick. Just wished they were a little closer to the ship, but then

We did the Maho Beach water tour. No swimming. It was OK but only saw a few planes land or take off. A one time excursion.

Very pretty island- a lot of devastation due to hurricane. We took a taxi tour of the island- not through Carnival. The gentleman was very nice and let us see several beautiful beaches. There was a lot of traffic and we sat in it for around 30 minutes— this wasn’t his fault though. We paid around $20 per person for this ver nice tour. Shopping seemed very pricey.

Lots of great choices of excursions but I like Orient Beach.

We got a taxi with 2 other couples and went to Orient beach. Didn’t know that we were going to the nude beach but what a beautiful beach I suppose we should had paid more attention as the other 2 couples didn’t know where we were going either! Lol But hey....it really was ok...different and we can laugh and say we have been to a nude beach. We didn’t shed our clothing (although my husband briefly took a nude swim)! Sadly......my new iPhone was stolen right before boarding the ship. I laid it down (was only taking photos and it was in airplane mode) to try on a T-shirt in the marketplace behind the courthouse. I walked away and within 2 minutes I ran back and it was gone. My husband confronted a local store owner who ran away as we ran to the tent but to no resolution. We spoke to a constable who was sad to hear of this and promised to “shake him down” but of course you know it is gone. Passcode so no good to anyone.
