Eagle Beach. You can catch a ride there for cheap. The vendors have chairs and umbrellas to use but they were pretty spendy. I can’t remember but it was either $50 or $75 for two chairs and umbrella. Public beach so there isn’t a good place to change there so wear your suits.

We have gone by taxi to Eagle beach on both our visits. Nice beach but chairs are scarce so you’ve got to get off the ship and go quickly. Beach is free, chairs and umbrellas are private vendors and not free. Have a great time

We rented an open top Jeep and had a blast! We drove down to Baby Beach, Eagle Beach, and Arashi Beach. It allowed us to take our time and not feel rushed. Have fun!!!

Eagle beach is about a 15 minute walk.

We walked from the cruise port to Surfside Beach (about 30 mins but there’s lots to see on the way). The beach is free. We paid to rent some lounge chairs and there’s a nice restaurant right on the beach. It wasn’t busy at all and it’s right near the airport so it was fun watching all the planes come in (not as good as Maho Beach for planes but still fun).

We hopped on a public bus and went to Eagle Beach (January 2020). The best I can remember the beach was free but you paid if you wanted chairs. It was very nice.

Thank you everyone!!!! The excursions offered haven't really been enticing so far and cheap beach day sounds peefect!

Be very careful going on your own. We had a very scarey experience. Better to take a ship sponsored tour etc than take a risk.
