We went off on our own. The taxi driver said the beach bar at Eagle Beach would call for a cab when we're ready to leave, and to specify we had been swimming so we get a cab with protected seating. It was a different rate of fare, and the cab dropped us off a block away from the pier, no issues but that is what unlicensed cab drivers do.

We've been there a number of times and never had an excursion. If you're a walker, there's a nice park a few blocks from the ship, as well as a ton of shopping everywhere. It's fun to wander on smaller streets, where you can find cafes with signs in Dutch.

you can do both, but if you want some budget savings then go on your own on the island besides is a very small island

We loved Aruba. We did an all-inclusive at RIU. I can not remember which one. we had a great time, and they had great food.

An excursion is great to learn more about the culture there. We went on a walking tour. It wasn’t very long, but it was very informative. It is beautiful there. It is my favorite destination and I have been on a lot of cruises.

My daughter and her boyfriend rented a car (negotiate for the price) and drove around the island. It is only 20 miles long and 6 miles wide.

We rode the public transportation (bus) to and from Eagle Beach. Short walk from the pier to get to the bus station, very minimal cost.

We stayed at an all inclusive last year and did an excursion that brought us around the island. We were able to see so much! It was through ABC Tours - Ultimate Island Safari

Horseback riding was a good way to see the island. we rode on the beach too.
