Swimming with the dolphins on Margarita was the highlight of our trip! We also enjoyed the great number of vendors at the port - very nice and their prices were so inexpensive. A great place to buy souveniers. There is also a very nice beach that you can walk to from the cruise ship.

I had a hard time rating this stop. Water was beautiful and you can walk out forever and still maybe be only waist deep and I'm only 5'1". Your could just get off the ship and they had alot of local vendors with some really nice things to buy. From the vendors you could walk to the approx. three beach areas. The first two where nice but there was a terrible smell because of stagnant water ponds to the other side of the beach. I could not believe people got chairs there. Just as we where about to give up and get back on the ship we got to the third beach area and no smell, nice water, beach bar and facilities, so we enjoyed our time. Time in port is shorter, ship leaves early afternoon but I don't think you would need anymore time there. I enjoyed my time at Margarita but don't know if I care to go back.
