If you wish to see the town great, you can do it on your own. As for the beach we took the ferry to island and was not impressed. If you are a beach enthusiast, don’t bother going, not worth it....

We just wandered around downtown. There must be better options, as this was disappointing, and somehow we felt unwelcome as Americans.

It is a new port and they have a lot of infrastructure to establish. Public transportation outside of taxi service is very difficult inless you speak French as very few speak any English.

Didn't really explore the island as they only speak french at this port, we just walked to some vendors and used the free wifi

Port was nice with shopping stalls close. Went on island excursion that included shopping and some points of interest. Tour guide was very friendly and helpful. Ac leaked in tour bus all over one side of bus, it was a waterfall

Sightseeing. Got a really great look at Fort-De-France. If more time was there would have seen more. However, what I saw was wonderful to the naked eyes.
