Not much to do here. We walked around the town and just shopped. We did find a cool farmers market with a lot of gifts and spices but some booths wouldn’t take American money. The people were nice but only some spoke English.

Next time: avoid excursion and explore on my own.

Took a local tour then went to the market. It was rainy that day so didn’t stay too long.

Unfortunately the fort was closed when we visited. There is a lovely little beach in front of the fort.

We did a land and catamaran/snorkel tour through Princess. This tour was very nice. Bus tour first of the island to a few scenic and historic spots, followed by a catamaran and snorkel tour. Martinique by Land and Sea.

I did an excursion to the Balata Gardens and it was beautiful. I really enjoyed this tour and learned so much. The gardens are lush and perfect. I didn't go into Fort-De-France, as I didn't want to deal with the Euro thing (and after 3 hours at the gardens, I was pretty tired, as the heat was intense). One of my table mates had her phone stolen in Fort-De-France by a "bumping" pick pocket. So guard your stuff.
