It is French, so there were stores that wouldn't even speak to you if you didn't speak French. There were demonstrations in the streets because of rioting going on in France, so went back to ship to avoid any trouble.

Not worth getting off the ship; limited points of interest and no activities/opportunies geared for passengers once disembarked.

This island was a bad experience. The people were rude and the island was not very sightful.

did a self walking tour whcih included the town, the park, a beautiful architechtural library, state house, hotel de ville, a gorgeous church, local vendors & beautiful waterfront views - all were an easy walk from where the ship was docked
