Did a fun snorkeling trip, the cat we were on actually put up it's sails!!! It was magical. Saw the turtles, exactly what you would think, 85 people struggling to not kick each other to death to see a few wild unpenned turtles. The crew and the boat saved this excursion from being a disappointment. Seas were high so no outside snorkeling, four other cats in the area for the turtles, and while they do feed the turtles to bring them in, no penned turtles and I still saw four turtles. And these are the endangered tortuse shelled turtles, beautiful. Good abundant lunch, plenty of after snorkeling drinks, great crew, very nice boat, enough clean not stinking heads to minimize any waiting. Picked up inside the port fence so no touts, but no other shopping than the company gift shop. Not a concern for me.

Barbados had the best beaches by far. Went to the Boatyard which was not crowded due to being only ship in port. Get on snorkeling list as soon as you arrive.

As we have been on a few cruises, we usuall walk out to the dock and search for a local taxi and take a tour of the island with a group of people. After such an experience in Barbados, I believe it is best to book a tour with the ship. As for restaurants, we are avid believers that the best restaurant is aboard the Crown Princess. We usually work our tours around dining hours which is not a problem on the Crown, Just think of the Horizon "the 24 hour buffet."
