Visited as a separate part of our holiday. Loved it. Laid back, with such friendly people.

All I can say is good lord the water and views, we did an excursion that included the possibility of seeing some green monkeys, well we were not disappointed we not only seen them but they were all over the place we watched them get fed and they were within arms reach so close, it was amazing would do it again.

Another island is another island I would visit again! I went to the Boatyard beach and I loved it! The sand and water were out of a movie! And the fact that it want crowded was the Best!

Went to Carlisle Beach with friends we met on the cruise. Hailed a cab once we got off the ship. The cab driver was very kind and even arranged to came back and pick us up later. Upon arriving to the location it looked run down until you stepped inside and went out back! Gorgeous! We rented lounge chairs and umbrellas for about $10.00 US. The water was clear and warm and we just had a wonderful day! Changing rooms and restrooms were clean and colorful.

One word-“BOATYARD”!! So much fun and no excursion needed. The $25 entry fee includes a welcome drink, umbrella & chairs, non motorized water sports equipment, free snorkeling excursion to see the turtles and a sunken ship along with one of the most beautiful beaches!! And -free shuttle back to the ship. Very safe and next to no people trying to sell you anything. Hop in a taxi and enjoy your day in paradise!

Took an excursion to Harbour Lights Beach. Well organized and safe. A little crowded but not over crowded. The sand is white and powdery. The water is cool, clean, and very calm. No seashells or seaglass. Nice vendors for food and trinkets. Fresh cut coconuts with water and rum for sale. Great showers to rinse off before returning to the shuttle bus.

So you want a beach, take your pick...too many to choose from. You want history, visit the forts, English style churches, Bridgetown cricket ground (ten minutes walk from the ship), visit Trafalgar Square. Rum factories, fruit plantations, beautiful scenery. Barbados has the lot. The cruise terminal is situated approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes walk from the centre of Bridgetown, mostly on flat though slightly uneven surfaces. Normally it is hot so a taxi might be a good bet.
