We’ve cruised throughout the Caribbean the past 10 years, and this is one of our favorite ports. We rented a car and drove the coast, down to the salt fields and flamingo sanctuary. This is a beautiful island that doesn’t feel touristy.

"Best" of Bonaire Hours long trip on uncomfortable bus with uninteresting tour guide. Don't waste your money or time. Seriously, Salt is NOT that interesting!

Bonaire was a beautiful mix of history, sun, interesting beaches, desert, and wildlife. Peaceful and beautiful island. Crystal clear water. Loved the wind surfing beach - heard the diving is amazing but I didn’t have the opportunity this time. Flamingos and protected areas peaceful Salt mining pretty cool to learn about the history and see the process. Beautiful cactus fences. So much, you gotta go!!!

The beaches were a bit rocky but still beautiful. Lots of shops to visit for souvenirs. Loves the flamingos in the sidewalks, thought they were really pretty.

Why sign up for any tours? You port in the downtown and there are 3 free public beaches within a 1/4 mile walk. You can sign up for a beach tour but those beaches are no better and they want you to pay $$ for their bathrooms. Keep it simple and enjoy the downtown shops and beaches.

First stop and to call this a tourist trap is is being nice, dont waste money on the Klein - Bonarie snorkle trip. 400+ people snorkling on a 100 yard stretch of beach. We were Instructed to walk up 75 yards and drift/snorkle down a mostly dead reef. BTW no bathrooms so 400+ people pisssing in the water. Yummy! Mask and breathing tube $5, no flins. In town taxis are a rip-off and unreliable.
