It was nice. We did some shopping and took pictures of us with a monkey. Be careful of discounted shirts and make sure they don't have holes

Wanted to go snorkeling, but there didn't seem to be any areas that were highly rated/recommended, so did a tour on my own. (On hind sight, that advice seems to have been inaccurate.) Visited the local craft area where I had a wonderful conversation with one of the sellers, the Circus (clock tower), two churches, Independence Square, and a monument to Queen Victoria (very sad shape). Saw children/adults dancing in brightly colored outfits, but later realized they were expecting tips ... possibly part of Carnival.

they drive like crazy people to start off. the port area is very small and not a big variety of shops. once you get passed the port, the town's are really run down and the Roads are super small. the locals were nice and we went to part of the jungle and the fort which was very nice.

Skip the train ride... Seats face into the center. Very hard to see. Also the seats are hard as a rock.. You will remember the ride for a few hours after the trip.

We booked the Dolphin Discovery push, pull swim with the dolphins. Amazing experience! We had plenty of hands on with the dolphin in a small group of 8. We rode on the dolphin holding his fins, the dolphin pushed us on a boogie board, we got to hold him, kiss and dance with him! They do get you on the pictures price wise, but we splurged and got the disc of all the photos to print at home. Definitely recommend! When we were done, we had plenty of time to shop and eat in the area near the port. Plenty of souvenir shops and the rum punch was great!

Another awesome place to visit taxi was cheap from port to the beach (cannot remember the name of it). Cab ride was around $4 a person each way. Cab driver stopped for us so we could see where the Atlantic and Caribbean meet. Souvenirs at the same spot were well priced!
