Basseterre, St. Kitts Port Reviews

We booked the dolphin encounter excursion through Princess. Being in the water with the dolphin (Paris) and having the opportunity to interact with him was amazing. However getting pictures afterwards was not as much fun. Pics were a bit pricey and it was not exactly the most streamlined process we've seen. Took about 30 min or so to get our pics. Overall though we would recommend this excursion.

Did the St Kitts scenic railway today. Thoroughly enjoyed it but it opens your eyes to how the less fortunate have to live. Worth every penny and recommend it.

We did the train ride around the island. Highly recommend this one. Saw a lot of beautiful places in the island. Drinks are included and entertainment as well. There are a few women who go from train car to train car singing different songs. It was a really great time

We did the city/beach tour and loved it. The guide was very informative and the beach was amazing. Had some of the best bbq ribs at the beach and a VERY tasty, complimentary rum punch.

Gorgeous view of the island as we pulled into port. I wish we had planned an excursion, but that's my own fault. We wandered around the town a bit. I made the mistake of saying, "awww! How cute!" when walking past a man holding three monkeys. Despite my protests about allergies, he quickly placed the monkeys onto my head, right shoulder, and into my left hand and urged my husband to "take photos of the wife!" You know. For $10. LOL!

What a beautiful island. We did our own excursion. Keeping that secret ours since it was off the beaten path and unspoiled! Easy walk from ship. Would go back again.

Loved this port! So many great shops, we got a local beer for $2 and some Conch Fritters and Chicken Wings at Island Thyme in the food court area. I loved the shopping in this port the best, so many options, there were so many pretty dresses!

Took the train ride and was not impressed. If you have ever been to any of the other islands, then you have already what you will on the train ride. You ride through the slums and hills with pastures. The personnel on the bus were very considerate.
