We tendered over to Cap Cana, which seems to be a self-contained village of sorts. Not the typical port so no shopping here just few restaurants. The area was very clean and well planned out. We walked to the exit and the taxi dispatcher recommended Macao Beach. We distinctly asked if there were restaurants and changing facilities but not so. They have a very organized system, however, where the driver sits and waits for you to bring you back. This beach was 45 minutes from Cap Cana but the roads and scenery was wonderful. The beach itself was beautiful but was more of a surfing beach because of the waves being on the Atlantic side. There were no changing rooms just some dirty porta potties which I refused to use. We were not sure if they had running water so we did not eat at any of the food places.

Very nice people, but this is a poor country and there wasn't much to do that is safe considering the travel warnings. We went to Juanilla beach which was nice but there was a ton of sea weed. The worst part of this port is that the ship does not dock. You have to ride the ships sea shuttles for 25 minutes to get to land and 25 minutes to get back to the ship. It took 2 hrs to get off the ship.

Not a lot to do in the sport, it was very nice and clean and safe so we did wander around in the port and found some nice spots to enjoy the perfect weather. Hopefully this port Will be developed in the near future.

Went to LaRomana due to rough waters in Punta Cana. Did an excursion through the ship that was so bad we received a refund after complaining to the ship’s GM after the ship shore excursion manager ignored our complaint. Our friends picked up a taxi off the ship for 40.00 total and had a much better experience and tour that included the same place we went plus additional stops.

We went to an all inclusive resort Ausol, that was great. Nice beach and great pools and restaurant. We got took on the beach by one of the bar girls. They seemed to have trouble with English but got impression that was an act.
