We took a tour bus around the island. One stop was Magen's Bay Beach which is normally packed with people but due to roads being flood from the storm we had the entire beach to ourselves! Incredible experience!!

Our half-day sail with the turtles excursion was FANTASTIC, the highlight of our cruise. Check out USVIsailing.com to book this excursion on the Fury with Capt. Mike and his mate Jess. The port was lovely and the scenery beautiful, but as we were the only ship in port there was not much going on in the port area.

This is our all time favourite port. You can visit several very beautiful beaches, Magens Bay Beach, Coki Beach, Sapphire Beach and just around the corner from the Port the Emerald Beach ❤️

Oasis is too big to dock at the pier in town - I think it was King's Point where we docked - we walked into town from there past a lot of local businesses, a few schools and apartments. As we got closer to the harbor Charlotte Amalie was very attractive. We had hoped to visit the museum here but it was closed for repairs. We asked one of the local taxi drivers where he'd go for lunch so he pointed us to Gladys's. Great local place and you'll find Gladys behind the bar... She's got many celebrity fans, just look at all the autographed photos! The food and service here is a real treat. There might be a line depending on the time of day but it is definitely worth waiting. It's mostly regulars at the bar!

We went to Magen's Bay for the day and it was gorgeous and picturesque. I haven't been in water so clear before in my life! There was one bar on the beach that offered drinks via a wandering waitress who was fun and polite. A Sex on the Beach was $9.50. Rentals for an umbrella and chairs were available and the umbrella was pretty necessary! We had a relaxing beach-lounging afternoon and a quick ride back to the ship. We did some, but not much, port shopping for souvenirs.

Took a cab ride across to Sapphire Beach ($10 each way). Stopped at Pueblo supermarket just outside the cruise terminal and bought 1 L of vodka for $3.45 US! Missed seeing the "No Trespassing" signs at the resort, and spent the day on the deck of the serenity pool, with only 2 other hotel guests (as some units were still closed due to storm damage) Did not enjoy the iguanas that seemed to move closer everytime you blinked until they were right under my chair, and more prone to hissing than running when I tried to shoo them away.

Beautiful island! We did the pirate museum (which was great) and did the sky ride to Paradise Point. Paradise Point offered breathtaking views of the island.
