We did a very expensive beach excursion on this day. $50 per person...so for our family of 4 it cost me $200 just to get to the beach and back to the ship. The beach was fantastic. We bought a drink while there and it was $14 for one tiny drink. Not a great deal.

My husband and I did the See and Sea excursion. Getting on the excursion was very frustrating. The people who organized the different excursions did not have any signs up for our group and would tell us to start in one group but then tell us to go into another. We needed up going on the later group by the time we had our bracelets and checked in even though we arrived 30 minutes earlier. The overall excursions was wonderful. We got on the glass bottom boat and saw sharks, turtles and string rays. We also spent 1.5 hours on the beach then went to an animal sanctuary. The drive around town was informative.

You have to have transportation in order to access anything at this port. The cabs are inexpensive although they do insist on cramming 12 people into mini vans or smaller. Some cab drivers are more agressive than others. One kept pushing my arm and telling em to get in the van which was the end of a seat row with maybe 4 inches of space to sit for the 20 minute ride. When I said I would wait for the next cab he got angry. The shopping is limited but offers beautiful water, kind people, and live Caribbean music.

We went into "town", which is a small touristy shopping area. Really, there is not much here. The disembarkation for this stop was incredibly inefficient. There was one person scanning ship IDs. We waited on the staircase over an hour. Why would there only be one person scanning the IDs when it is completely predictable that 2000+ people are going to be getting off the boat for a brief visit?

The private beach excursion was reasonably priced. Beach set-up and service was great. Reasonable amount of activities with Volleyball, Line Dancing, Flip Cup was fun. The food could have a little better though.

Two of the three public beaches offer free rentals with the daily admission fee (around $3 a person). It's well worth the money, and well-worth interrogating the cabbies to make sure they steer you straight about where to go.
