Had a great time on Taino Beach! Pirate's Cove is located on Taino Beach. They have Zipline and water sports! Also drink specials with WiFi! On weekends DJ plays music! Food is delicious!

We did the luxury sailboat and had a blast. They started serving mimosas immediately after boarding and continued with open bar the entire trip. We stopped to snorkel and then they prepared us an amazing lunch.

We did a private excursion to an All-Inclusive Resort (Viva Wyndham). We arrived in Freeport at 7:00am and after having coffee got off the ship and headed to the resort where they had breakfast provided (full service buffet). We then headed to the beach and starting enjoying the water and unlimited alcohol. This was by far the best port for us. We met lots of people not cruising and most definitely would consider going back to stay at the resort for several days.

considering they were hit by a hurricane less than 6 months ago, they're working hard to rebuild. yes, the port is in an industrial area, but if you take a cab, there's a lot of beauty to see elsewhere

Freeport was more than I expected but not overwhelming at the same time. The landscape is decent once you leave the port area (via excursion or cab ride) as the the port is heavy industrial. Leaving the ship wasn't bad just be prepared to be offered to see the many shops as you make your way out. If you're not interested in buying, just say no thank you and keep walking. As you make your way around Freeport there are areas that are obviously hurting compared to others, but they do have some nice resorts and pretty nice beaches. The further from the port you get, the nicer the people as they aren't trying to sell you anything. Overall, it wasn't as bad as the perception I got from other cruisers but if it appeared on another itinerary it wouldn't be the end of the world either....again as I preach, it is what you make it.

Lots of great people and I pray for them and their health. We were a day ahead of Dorian but our friends in Freeport had to ride it out. God bless them

There is nothing at the cruise terminal. It is an industrial port. Also, on this itinerary you're only in port a short time so I wouldn't risk doing a non ship excursion risking missing the boat. We did the dolphin encounter through Carnival and it was AWESOME!!!! We would do this a hundred times over Universal again (if you're deciding on where to put your $ there's way cheaper stuff to do in Port Canaveral) It was raining and cloudy our day here and it was still all of our favorite experience by far.
