Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island) Port Reviews

I LOVED Cococay - the beaches are beautiful and clean, the water is clear and beautiful. I'm not one for laying around on a beach, but I walked around for a few hours (searching for wildlife, which I found in the form of wandering chickens, iguanas and some Pelicans preening high in a tree). For me it was relaxing. I loved the floating bar - I hope that doesn't disappear with the redesign of Perfect Day. There was construction going on, but it was walled off and although I did hear construction noise, I really had to pay attention and actively listen for it - otherwise I never noticed it. I can NOT wait to go back, and I don't care how much of the new features are done because it's a great island now anyway. It'll be nice to have the pier though.

My husband has commented several times that he would book any cruise that stopped at this island twice in the same trip. He loved the laid back pace and relaxing atmosphere. I took a nap under the palms with a cool ocean breeze blowing over me. Other passengers "chased" (trying to get close enough for a picture) the largest iguana I have ever seen right past my lounge chair.

We absolutely LOVED CocoCay. The island was beautiful. It was nice that amenities from the ship were available in the island. Make sure you take cash if you want to buy anything from the shops. We loved South Beach. Beautiful water and beautiful views.

Beautiful weather, sand, and water. This place was paradise. We tented a private two-person lounger. The area was secluded and quiet. So relaxing and exactly what i imagined paradise to be

Transport to Island was fast and sweet, food was good. I went snorkeling for the first time, and ironically, the first time running into lots of Jellyfish. Kids had fun, and it actually tired them out. The construction was an little of an eye sore, and the souvenir shop personal wasn't pushy..

Rented the Beach Bungalow! It was beautiful. We had to go to the Shore Excursion desk on the boat to pick which bungalow we wanted and what lunch items to order. Apparently we were supposed to get excursion tickets delivered to our room, but did not get them. I presented my SeaPass to confirm and they let us through. There was a shuttle available to take us to the bungalow area, a (limited) bar on site, and the concierge at the entry had towels available. Spent a lot of time on the floating mats. The CocoLoco drink was delicious. I recommend paying the extra for the souvenir cup - twice as big as the normal drink glass and free refills of CocoLoco. The bar in the bungalow area does not have the CocoLoco drinks available in the pineapple - the main bar does. The bar was also very limited in what it provides - mostly rail drinks. Our lunches were delivered to the bungalow and staff made rounds to pick up drink orders and deliver. Overall, wonderful time. There was also a straw market in the main entry area, and plenty of other excursions to enjoy. One of our group members even rented snorkel gear to use for the day.

LOVED the hammocks on the beach! Water was so clear and blue.

It wasn’t even done and I wish we could’ve stayed there for two days instead of one. The walk out on the sandbar by the floating bar....... OUTSTANDING!!!! We just drank and walked and took pics, it was the most amazing time out there of my life!
