Q: In Boston, at the Flynn Cruiseport, if you have recently gone on a cruise, just for their security screening before getting on the ship, has anyone asked to have a carry-on "hand inspected" or hand checked rather than having the carry-on go through the x-ray?Since there is no "TSA" at cruise ports, I don't know how security works especially in Boston.

A: I’m not sure what you mean by “No TSA at cruise ports,” but when I boarded at the Black Falcon Terminal last fall, me and my bags went through the X-rays just like at the airports. It was quick, total of about 30-45 minutes from parking to walking on... to the ship.See More

A: 7 am from 24 nights to Canada, Greenland, and Iceland
Answered by Ladyjunecliff on January 8, 2024
A: On voyages longer than 8 nights especially those that visit nations outside the WHTI agreement (like Greenland & Iceland) you can expect Customs to take longer to process luggage. They tend to scrutinize the luggage more throughly & often because of... needing 2 seasons worth of clothing passengers have a lot more bags per person. Secure priority disembarkation for a better time margin.See More

A: Look for something in the Seaport district
Answered by bench123 on April 3, 2022
A: Any hotel in the Seaport district would be within walking or a quick Uber distance to the terminal. Hampton Inn Seaport, Seaport Hotel, Westin Seaport, Yotel, Renaissance Boston Seaport, Aloft Boston Seaport, Element Boston Seaport, Residence Inn Sea... port, the Envoy hotel. All would be fine choices.See More

A: The closest is the Hampton Inn Boston Seaport District. hHowever, would recommend Boston Marriott Long Warfield to be closer to the action of downtown. HAL ports at Black Falcon Cruise terminal.
