Love Bar Harbor but weather didn’t cooperate. Very foggy and light rain. Luckily we didn’t book any excursions but did some shopping and had to get my favorite, lobster.

Way too short. In order to facilitate the Norwegian cruise turnover in Boston, Norwegian scheduled this stop in order for passengers to clear US customs. And because the ship can’t pull up to a dock in Bar Harbor, shuttle boats were required to move passengers. Net result is you only get a few hours in Bar Harbor. Would have liked more time.

Customs came aboard, everyone had to go through. A bit of a cluster. If you have no excursions planned, go to breakfast, lunch a bar.. Wait til the line is gone.

Quaint little port. Most items pricey other than T-Shirts and small souvenirs. This port used tender boats, extremely poor process to get in the tender boat, long lines that marched around the ship, up some stairs (45 minutes ) only to receive a number and sit in the atrium for 2 hours for your number to be called. Lobster dinners 3 times higher than at home.

The port is quaint. Lots of shopping bars and restaurants. Acadian Nature tours canceled our tour right before it was supposed to start which didn't leave us much time to pivot. So we just wandered around.

Once current contracts with cruise lines have expired, this will no longer be a port of call for majority of cruise lines due to limits set by the town.
