We were in Bar Harbor in May, we wanted to go to Acadia National Park. We finally decided to take a ship excursion that did not stop at the NP visitor center but we got to see several beautiful areas of the park and the island. the guide had a lot of stories and a long history on the island.

We looked into this last October as we wanted to do our own day at Acadia, but no car rental places are near the port. We took an Ollie’s Trolley to get an overview of the park. It was excellent.
