All the Alaskan ports are the same - small towns, sorta like Gatlinburg or Myrtle Beach - t-shirt shops and tanzanite jewelry. Excursions - each port is pretty much the same, watch whales, lumberjack show, pan for gold, helicopter to glacier, totem poles and indigenous people interface and eat "authentic" Alaskan food - but the scenary is excellent

My husband went fishing and I did the tour. It was fun and interesting. Loved the Totem Pole park.

Absolutely loved this port. Did the whale watch and wilderness excursion. Absolutely 10 out of 10 experience. Breathtaking. Very professional staff.

Very clean and friendly people. Free transportation from ship to town. Walked around on our own.

Lots of eagles are released here. I spotted 5 a long the handicap friendly path to totem park. The town is charming to shop in. Trying king crab was less expensive than in Ketchikan.the mountains and waterfalls are beautiful.

It was a little trashy like Juneau, but we still had a good time. We rented ebikes and toured the entire area.

We rented bicycles and enjoyed cruising around at out leisure to the Totem poles, saw several eagles.

Best stop on this cruise. We had good weather so that helped. Easy to walk through the rainforest to some of the attractions and save money over ship excursions.
