Sitka was interesting as an alternative to Skagway Puente the rock slide, but it was fun to walk around and see the salmon swimming at the maritime hatchery.

We had a great experience in Sitka. Our excursion began with a marine mammals cruise, in which we saw orca whales, stellar sea lions and a bald eagle. We then visited the bear sanctuary, where we saw brown and black bears. Finally, we visited the raptor centre, which was an interesting experience and we got to see many spectacular birds.

Walked to the totem park. Beautiful day to walk around.

Sitka's port was good. The bus ride in to town was good. We did not do a shore excursion.

It is a pretty port that has a lot of bold eagles, bears and other animals. We did not have much time to explore the port after doing the Best of Sitka excursion. Felt very rushed…

Beautiful little fishing town. We had lunch in a local bar and the food and atmosphere was great.

Took the “Best of Sitka” excursion. Enjoyed the Raptor Refuge. The Bear enclosure and the Totems were just ok for me. I wasn’t impressed with the enclosure that the bears were in 😐. My wife enjoyed the Totems park.
