Interesting history in Sitka. The Russian and Lutheran churches were fascinating to visit. A little on and off rain did not dampen our visit.

Had a fun walk in the rain forest. It was a short excursion maybe 45 minutes. Could’ve given us another half hour to explore all paths.

We regretfully did not pre-purchase a shore excursion from the cruise line and although we did eventually find one once we got into town, it was stressful and the van was cramped. Overall what we did was fun but it was quick - not sure if our experience would have been better if we had planned better. We went to the Raptor Center, Fortress of the Bears and had a walk around totem park.

No excursions just walked around town and visited the Russian Orthodox Church. Absolutely beautiful.

The city of Sitka, laid out the red carpet, and closed off some streets. No excursion, because we did this one on our own. Our bus rider gave everyone a quick breakdown of a lot of things to see, and do for our time. We did some hiking to see the totem poles, and the city tour, all in walking distance.

Take the $10 bus by the library to the Raptor Center and Fortress of the Bear. Walk to the totem pole park. Limited shipping and a church to see. The Russian dance show is not worth the $15.
