Saw many whales

Was Okay but nothing great

We loved this port. Our excursion, Sea Otter and Wildlife Quest was pleasant enough but we only saw otters from a distance which was disappointing. We also walked around the pleasant town and to the National Park.

Highly recommend the visit to the Fortress of the Bear and Raptor Recovery Center.

We did a short excursion - not enough time. Nice to see the bears though. Our guides for all the excursions were men who were pretty opinionated and sometime unprofessional.

You have to take a shuttle to get to town. We walked along the marina to the national park where we saw several different totem poles. We also did a tour that took us to the bear reserve, which was really nice. They had both brown and black bears.

Fun

This was my first visit to Sitka and honestly I didn't see much of it. I mainly went into the town to have lunch and take a quick look around. Did not do any shore excursions.

Did not like shuttle.
