Sitka, Alaska Port Reviews

I did do an excursion, although I don't think I saw any more than I would have just by taking the transportation provided into the town. It is a cute town.

Okay port. Was very rainy when we visited so I did not get to explore like I wanted to.

The excursion was fantastic. Wasn't too impressed with the town/port.

Very pretty sailing into port. Not much at the port and a huge line for the shuttle into town.

We did the wildlife excursion and seafood feast on Fin Island. The guide was fun and helpful and the food on the island was very good. On returning to the boat, the mate had found a large starfish to show everyone.

We went to the Menddinghall Glacier. Was a great excursion.

Did not have an excursion in Sitka, sold out. The town was nice but crowded and the weather was great.

Did the historic float boat tour. It started late due to gentleman trying to get his wife onto the small boat that only seated six. Unfortunately he was turned away because of the danger to his wife. Tour was definitely overpriced because all we did was go out in the water for an hour while the guide showed us a few things including a float house. Time was too short in the port to shop.

Did not do an excursion but was able to enter St. Michael's Church. So much beauty and history in that special place.
