Loved the Summit Gap train tour; loved the historic town and folks. Plenty to do, shop, eat and trail hike

First time to Sitka. A very small town you can walk in about 20 mins. Quite a few shops and good food.

Cute little town.

Sitka was the one we really couldn't find an excursion that thrilled us...so we mad arrangements to renew our wedding vows with Mother Julie at St. Peter's by the Sea Episcopal Church (we are Episcopalian, so it's not as random as it sounds)! Such a beautiful seaside church, and the whole town is just as beautiful. WAAAAY more beautiful than the Massachusetts substitute they used in the The Proposal movie.

You can take free shuttle all day from the boat to downtown and from there you can visit St. Michael church , Bishop house and walk ten minutes to National Park. You can also take tours if you don't feel like walking much.

We did the sea otter and Alaska Raptor center expedition. We saw lots of sea wildlife, several whales, sea otters and salmon. The Raptor center was fascinating.
