We just wandered around town on our own

We ended up on the paddle tour, and with travel time, we missed the ability to explore the port. This is not the tour's fault...it was the crazy off-site port that Norwegian uses

We went to the totem pole park, city tour and the raptor center. It was a great experience. We ended our day with a native cultural dance.

It’s a historic and pleasant small town and we had great weather. However, there’s really nothing to do unless you go on a excursion. RCL does a great job running shuttle buses back and forth to town, but it a long, long, line to get on the buses. We went up to Cannon Hill where Russia turned Alaska over the United States, then wandered around for a little while and returned to the ship.

I think this was my favorite port. We took the Birds, Bears and Barnacles excursion (through Sitka Tours Alaska) and had a great time. We really enjoyed our visit in Sitka.

Did not get off the bus because the line to get back on the bus was way too long.

This city is full of amazing local art and Russian/Tlingit Alaskan history. Yes, we did book an excursion.

I just went to downtown and shop for some gift.

We had family in town who took us to the Fortress of the Bear and the Raptor Rehab place, both are worth a visit.
