I did a kayaking tour and saw 2 whales while we were out. It was beautiful and fun. It was my first time in kayak and had a great time.

Another port that is doable without preplanning excursions. We walked over to the National Historic Park then back to castle hill then downtown. The gift shops in Sitka seemed higher in quality than in other ports. Salmon were running and we saw eagles.

Had to bus into town, then bus back to port in order to bus to NCL excursion, The Bike and Hike was cut short due to two elderly ladies (80’s) who signed up for the tour.

Paid for a private tour and our group was very satisfied with the result.

Was extremely disappointed in the shore excursion. Went to a bear refuge instead of seeing real bears in the wild. Same with the bald eagles. It was a rehab facility. The only good part was the whale watching boat.

We went on a Sea Otter and Wildlife excursion. Not many Sea Otters, but plenty of whales and we even saw Puffins

Sitka had a 100% internet outage when we visited, which meant that no merchants could process payments other that cash.
