Loved Sitka. We did the tram but I thought that was expensive (55.00 per person) to ride up and there was really nothing there but a gift ship and bar/restaurant, which was good.

Fortress of the Bear was our favorite stop in Sitka. We also enjoyed a hike through the Totem Pole Park and St. Michael’s Church.

A transportation disaster unless there is no other ship in port. You must be bussed 5 miles to the town center. Our ship of 650 was eclipsed by a 4000 ship that flooded the dock and created tremendous lines (over 1.5 hour wait). We had a limited time there and most was taken up by waiting in long cue lines to board a coach bus!! Horrible organization. Strongly recommend going to the Sitka National Historical Park. We walked the trails and don't miss the movie, which educates you on the native peoples. Otherwise, the town offers a small street for shopping.

Excellent Flora & Fauna excursion and a nice town for souvenir shopping.

The line for the shuttle was more than an hour, standing in the cold rain for most of it. Awful experience. Run down, not a lot open, felt a tad unsafe. The nature was gorgeous though.

Rent E-bikes from Kings and explore! They are right at the port no shuttle needed!
