Ketchikan, Alaska Port Q&A

I think since all the ports in Alaska rely on tourism most of the regular tourist stuff will be open & excursion stuff too. We were there on a weekday & the local stores that deal with residents closed at normal times.

Yes. Our cruise was in Ketchikan on a Sunday in May 2022.

Tourist towns are open when cruise cruise ships come. be it a Sunday or not. Some might be closed, buy enough will be open
