Loved the Mendenhall Glacier and also went to the Gold Creek Salmon Bake. Great place to eat and check out the waterfall and the fire pits for the marsh mellows to roast! Love the town of Juneau!

Marked one off my bucket list!!! Saw 5 humpback whales up close and personal and got some great videos! Really cool town too! I recommend the Allan Marine whale watching excursion...great job guys!!! Saw sea lions playing too along with about ten bald eagles!

Arriving in Juneau was like being in a postcard. The water was a bright green, the mountains more dramatic and covered in tall, green trees. Lots of old, colorful buildings cover the coastline. You absolutely cannot miss visiting the Mendenhall glacier. Truly some of the most spectacular scenery you will never find anywhere else. It's about a mile walk in each direction. Take your time walking there as you might spot some bald eagles in the surrounding forest or a bear in the trees. I stopped several times to snap some pix.

Juneau is a very neat town. You have to see the mendenhall Glacier. It's spectacular. If you don't mind walking it's about a mile walk on a good trail to marble falls. If you don't want to walk that far it's just a short distance on a good trail to a scenic point where you can see the falls, Glacier, lake and the surrounding mountains. The city is nice and easy to move around in. Try the Twisted Fish for lunch. Excellent clam chowder.

We rented a car from Juneau Car Rentals and loved every minute of it! Went out to Eagle beach, skaters cabin, Mendenhall Glacier, Macaulay’s salmon hatchery and then to downtown. Loved not being on a “tour time table” and being able to do our own thing! Would absolutely do this 100 times again!

Make sure that you go visit Mendenhall glacier. Also the hike out to the falls is worth the time. Walking around an old Juneau, is a fun experience as well.
