Didn't get to close to the glacier. Expected to be closer.

If you can do the excursion here I can't recommend it enough. We went right to the edge of the glacier

It was the most beautiful part of the trip. The water and ice were unreal. We had beautiful weather so we got to go in a decent ways, but no fog so we could really see everything.

Woke up early to not see much but I understand it is more about safety!

Dawes was obsured by sun glare on our visit day, but at the entrance to Endicott Arm is the Sumdum Glacier which is very beautiful! I just happened to be waking up around 4:45 AM as we entered the arm and stepped out on the balcony to be greeted by this beautiful sight. We saw it again on the Starboard side around 10:30 as we exited the fjord. Hot Cocoa was served free at the bars, along with donuts and blankets were available at the towel station. We secured one of the round lounge beds on the indoor pool deck and just lounged around for the morning. It was fun.

Did not get close to the glacier, disappointed!

We did not get off the ship, just cruised through area. Did not see much of the glacier just some peaces that floated by us during the day at times.

Beautiful glacier

Scenery is spectacular, we couldn’t get too close to the glacier do the ice in the channel. This is where I screwed up, I didn’t understand the excursion and what it entails. Only when the small boats pulled alongside Discovery did I realize they were going to the glacier. Would like a “do over” on that.
