Couldn't get as close as we wanted but that isn't Royal's fault, just the conditions of the Arm at the time we went and couldn't get close enough for safety reasons.

This scenic area was breathtaking. The photos don’t do it justice and it’s a place one must experience!

Now this is what you go to Alaska to see. Great scenery along with a glacier touching the water, leaving small icebergs floating by the ship. Tight fit, but the captain did a great job.

Beautiful and serene...well-worth the early morning wake up call.

After sitting in the theater with no windows for 90 min they cancelled our small boat tour to up close and personal with glacier and arm due to too much ice. I get it. What I don’t get is by the time they released us from theater the ship was already leaving the glacier. Around 200+ people didn’t get to see the thing our cruise itinerary was named for. This situation should be handled a bit differently by the bridge the next time this happens.

It was nice to see all the way in to the glacier has great scenery. Not much time at the glacier itself.

The captain decided there was too much ice, and we did not go all the way in.

We did not get to go.

This was by far the best experience of the trip and we didnt even have to leave the ship. I have told everyone since I got back that if the cruise does not have this on their agenda you should find one that does if you are going to Alaska. Absolutely stunning.

Beautiful but didn’t get close to the actual glacier and unwilling to fork out the big $$$ to get in a small boat.
