Opinions are like, well, you know...here's mine: make arrangements with the other party to Skype or FB whatever...buy the WiFi pkg and do it that way. If it is critically important, don't take chances. My old lady uses WiFi on the ship with Skype to KIT with her kids and pets.

Likely not given it’s not close to a port, but you’ll have service in all the Alaskan ports as they’re serviced by US carriers.

I have a suggestion.I'm not sure about Cell service but if you get an internet line, using the wifi from the ship, you can call anywhere using your cell phone. Duo even let's you make face to face calls or regular phone calls over the internet.

you must mean from the ship while in the bay. I'd definitely do as recommended and snag the best wifi package you can get and get you all set up for wifi calling beforehand. cellular at sea and even calling from the ship can be your expensive backups.

The only available service will be ship Cellular at Sea. itt is stupid expensive but it is possible. It's considered roaming so you have to make sure that your account has roaming available
