While the Admiral's away -- the Crew will PLAY!!

What ONE change would you make to ALL cruise ships to enhance the cruising experience? To make it more 'FUN' ?

Me, me, me first !!! Ok, calm down, you have over a month until the Admiral returns.

Answer - I would give everyone a soft chocolate chip cookie on embarkation

(and a bottle of rum).

Others - please add your own discussion thread on 'While the Admiral is away -----' should you be so inclined, and not afraid of being placed in the brig once the Admiral returns from her voyage to the Northland.

When I had the mini-suite on the Island Princess, I was given a complimentary glass of wine on embarkation day.

I know Celebrity does this for sure. Anyone know what other cruise lines do?

AuntPinkie - totally agree. Such a flashback to cruising in the past! A nice memory worthy of becoming a present day activity. Where is Benny when you need him???

I'm one of those "Captains" that wouldn't mind being in line. Wink

While the cookies, pound cake and champagne all sound nice upon boarding, I think I'd like some of the live music form an orchestra to return. I know there are small string quartets or some such on Princess, but I miss the big live music. I think the Admiral would approve.

Oh my! Good thing the Admiral is away. I am not sure even the Captains would approve of this (except one, oh - maybe two. Heck, from what I have read, probably 12 of the Captains would approve and be in line for the next massage. And me, a lowly swabby, would be there too. At the end of the line, of course.

He is going to someone's cabin to give them a massage?

A glass of champagne when you walk in the ship during embarkation.

Ain't it the truth!

PS. As you might remember, it's hubby's jobs to bring the cookies to bed every night....

Here's how it works ... In the beginning, it's all about the bride. Then the groom starts busting his tail to make her happy, and it's all about him and his job. Then they have children and it's all about the kids. Then they start accumulating houses, cars, vacations and it's all about money and the stuff. Years later, they realize if bride makes it all about groom and groom makes it all about bride ... the heck with the kids and the stuff ... everybody's happy!
