What's the smallest cruise ship you've ever sailed?

The smallest ship I have cruised on was the old RCI Song Of America, 37,584 tons and max 1,575 passengers. Built in 19982 I cruised on her 12-15 1996 and 04-12-1998. She was the second ship I had been on.

I have great memories of cruising on her both times. On my bucket list is to go on her now as the Celestial Olympia for a Greek Island cruise.

Hmm, all the river cruise ships we’ve sailed were well under 200 passengers, but for ocean cruising it would be Azamara Journey at 30,277 gross register tonnage carrying 694 passengers.

Probably the SS Meridian from Celebrity Cruises. I cruised on it for my first cruise in the 90's. Technically, it was an ocean liner ship that was converted into a cruise ship. I even remember having to step over the threshold to get into the cabin!

Sailed on her on January 6-11, 2018. Between this cruise, and our 2019 cruise on Majesty of the Seas, we found that the guests and crew on smaller ships seemed to be much more friendly than the Mega ships!

Wow! So little!

Fair Princess---16,627 gross tons---Built for Cunard, sold to Sitmar then became the Fair Princess after Sitmar acquired by Princess in 1988. Next smallest was the original or close to the original "Love Boat", the Pacific Princess at 20,636 gross tons.

I prefer small ships and the smallest I have sailed was Paul Gauguin in January 2013 for 10 nights from Tahiti, French Polynesia to the Society Islands and the Cook Islands. What a marvelous trip it was. Likely once in a lifetime on this ship but worth every penny. The crew were so attentive. The cruise line has a Polynesian dance troup that adds cultural enhancements. I sat on the floor one night while they danced and made leis. The ship brought in hundreds and hundreds of flowers to make them. What a cool experience. They also taught us about their music, played their music each might in the bar, and taught folks how to dance/hula and tie Pareo. It added so much to an already magical cruise.
