We tried this once before, let's try it again. Let's go on a cruise !!!

Earlier this year, a scheduled CruiseLine.com cruise, for the people that hang out here, was cancelled due to lack of interest. Some of us experienced this before on Carnivals site. Let's face it, getting a couple dozen people to agree on a date is difficult. Regardless of how far in advance you notify people.

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned a Mexican Riviera cruise on NCL on what will be a brand new ship, The Bliss. It leaves out of Los Angeles on October 13th, 2018. I mentioned that week because my birthday falls during that cruise, and that's why we were considering it.

Now, I really know nothing about this ship, other than it is a Breakaway Plus class ship. That makes it larger than the Breakaway, but smaller than what RCCL is putting in the water. Here is the website sailing date info:

If if anyone else is truly interested in this, let's get together with Simon and Amy & Michael, and see what can be done.

Great minds think alike!Big Smile We already put a bunch of cabins on hold before I posted earlier. Deposit is the standard $250 per person but is fully refundable until July 5, 2018.

Is there a way to block some cabins with minimal refundable deposit?

We’re interested! We haven’t been to that side of Mexico in years but we’ve always had fantastic cruises on that itinerary. Even if Simon and the folks at Cruiseline.com and Ship Mate app can’t join us, they certainly wouldn’t discourage the Members getting together as a group and would probably send some swag for those who go.

There are definitely some great perks available for booking as a group and we’d be happy to facilitate the event! Who else is interested?

I see the points of the last two posts. Not everyone books that far in advance. The main reason I chose this cruise, and cruseline, is it's a new ship ( or will be ). We aren't that keen on doing a Mexican Riviera at this time, but if a new ship becomes the real destination, and the itinerary is ancillary, I figured it might work. We are booked for a cruise in April for our anniversary on the Escape, a 2015 ship that will be coming to NY

A group cruise would be fun but I do not book anything in life that far ahead. It will also be hard to get everybody to agree on a cruise line and destination.

I said yes but I probably wouldn't want to book it till next year ... I usually only like planning about 6 months ahead of time ... so much can change and happen in a year in my crazy life....

Sorry BAK, we are cruising in March and can only afford that one. It sure would be fun to cruise with a group from here someday.

P.S. You had me at 'Bars and Lounges'. (lol)

Yes! This is far enough in advance that we (2 of us) could partake for a couple reasons. Actually meet some of you nice folks I have been conversing with the past few months, AND try a different cruise line. In my earlier life I have been to all of these ports but my wife has only been to one. Sounds exciting (Even if we do not get all the perks we are used to. So spoiled by Princess). One cabin taken (we can sleep together - right????)
