Has anyone gotten an update on the financial stability of Crystal Cruises from their travel agent? Saw there was a filing by Crystal's parent company.

Yeh really... "ferried to miami"? vaxx status? covid status? quarantine? whatever...first they gotta get out of the Bahamas...notice its several years worth of fuel?...next to hoops, this is the most interesting thing i'm following today...There have been an assortment of airline and travel agency failures over the years...if i remember right it was everyone for themselves....passengers were at the bottom of the priority list, even tho they got the most attention,

Genting Hong Kong, formerly known as Star Cruises is in liquidation. Crystal was owned by |Genting so all sailings have been suspended. I suspect the trustee will try to sell it off as a standalone holding for someone. Shame most of the cruise lines have minimal funds but for someone that does there could be a few opportunities for one of the bigger cruise lines to pick up an asset or three. Hopefully not too many cruisers get caught in the crossfire on this one but there will be some casualties I am sure.

I hope you haven't got any $$ tied up with them...the words may be different, but that "parent co" GENTING HONG KONG" is bankrupt...the words may be different there, but thats what it is...who knew they owned a shipbuilding co? I expect theres going to be a sale of their ships sooner rather than later...lots of sites to choose from, I prefer the financial news myself...bet the "cruise news" sites just c/p stuff from them anyway....
