Just wondering if anyone could give any tips before we go. Things we should know or prepare. Never been on a cruise to Alaska and I am so excited. They say it is so beautiful . I already have all excursions ordered and paid for but can cancel or change if I need to. If anyone has a super one that they would suggest.

Some thoughts:
Ketchikan: Misti Fjords and New Eddystone Rock either by boat or by seaplane. Depending on tour time walk around town before of after tour. Walk past Chief Johnson totem pole and creek street
Juneau: Mendenhal glacier helicopter landing or flight seeing in a small plane. Could also take City bus to glacier center museum and trails to glacier head. If there all day you could also take the Mt. Roberts cable car, across the street from cruise port excellent views. Walk around town. Get crab legs at Tracey's next to cruise port.
Skagway: White Pass and Yukon Railway. Walk around town get crabs for lunch
Sitka: not a lot going on
Victoria: We arrived after lunch and left late. No tours walked around town. Thunderbird park lots of totem poles. Must visit Fairmont Empress hotel. Sunset time great views by marina. We took a cab to town
We are doing excursions. No per say land tours. Would love to do that but not enough time. We have an excursion for each stop.
We are going to Icy Straight, Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Victoria, BC
We have an excursion for each stop except BC.

Be sure to bring something for the cold; gloves, earmuffs, jacket, etc. Binoculars are a must! Enjoy your adventure.
