The Suite Life? Is it worth it?

Like your comment - we've done suites - but then you feel more obligated to spend more time in the room. As we sail Celebrity most of the time, we do it for the "perks" - there are specific lounges and now pool areas for suite guests - so that gives you the excuse not to be in the room.

We really like them because of the 2 sinks. My friend likes the bathtub. We also like the space. However, if you spend little time in your cabin and don’t need the space it can feel like wasted money. I recommend you try it at least once to decide for yourself. We only book one for special occasions!

What is everyone's experience with Ocean Suite's on Carnival? Worth the price? Or is it better to just get a room with a balcony? Thank you!

Yes. and it was so worth the small exrta cost and in one case we changed ships and got the Royal suite on the Rhapsody for less than we had JS on the Radiance .Now it's hard to go back from sailing in full suites.So now we cruise less and book early and watch out for sales.

We think it is. We've only done JSs on RCL, will move up to a higher level next cruise because a JS really doesn't give you any benefits. We primarily sail Celebrity which provides more perks across suite offerings.

It's been worth it for us. We typically sail with Princess and tried suite on a special promotion for a short 4 day cruise. We liked the suite and the benefits so much that our last two cruises have been in full suites.

So once you've tried it, you may not want to go back to a regular cabin. Of course money is always the factor that may stop you. For us it means we don't take cruises as often because we are saving for our suite life. It's a good problem to have.

Absolutely worth it, but not a requirement for every cruise. We upgraded (via bid) from family minisuite with balcony to a 2-bedroom suite with balcony on a 10-night cruise on the Norwegian Dawn earlier this year, and absolutely loved the experience - so much so, that I booked the same suite for a 13-night cruise on the Norwegian Jade in 2021.

I will say this: the prices are comparable enough that I would struggle to decide between a family deluxe verandah on Disney and a 2-bedroom suite with balcony on an NCL Jewel-class ship. (I don't think I would ever pay list price for Concierge (i.e. suite class) on Disney.)

All of the service was fantastic, and the perks made all of the little things go so smoothly. I'll particularly miss the suite breakfast (and the press pot coffee it included).

We Had a junior on Majesty OTS. We had a terrible stateroom attendant, so I cant really judge on that aspect. The Balcony, and extra space really was nice. Perhaps on the bigger ships, its a better experience, but the only real bonus with Majesty, was the breakfast in the departure lounge and being the first 20 people onboard.

I would definitely give it another go, if I could get a smokin deal.

When we are celebrating something special (birthday, anniversary, etc.), we like to splurge and book a suite. If you found the $ difference small enough for your budget, I say sit back and enjoy you luxurious surroundings. Have a wonderful adventure!

I just got upgraded on Norwegian, so we shall see!
