THAT "NON-CHANGING" MENU ON CCL? (VISTA)

Well, fwiw, it changes often enough to keep us interested...never ate the same things twice, and usually didn't eat the same things anyway. Paper menus are ALWAYS available...we order off them every time. kept watching folks actually struggling with their stupid cellphones trying to order dinner....couple next to us saw our steady dinner waiter bring us paper menus without even asking (after the first nite)...I mouthed the words "ask him" to the wife, she did and of course got paper menus,,,now I read that they're going back to paper dailies...hmmmm.......anyway, we do "anytime dining"...but liked the table (and the wait staff) so much I toid the maitre' d to block it off for us EVERY DAY...he did, and we promptly cancelled two specialties we had booked...added it back as an OBC...noticed the "steak" they charge almost $50 to eat in the steakhouse costs $23 to eat in the dining room. One nite we even did lobster...great waiters..and we tipped them accordingly...once in the middle of the cruise, and again at the end...they were most appreciative...same thing happened to our breakfasts in the MDR...different table, blocked that off as well..but frankly, smaller tips for that. NOTE...you block off your time/table at the maitr d stand, or the maitre'd office on deck 5, your HUB will work differently....and faster....took a few days for it to sink in...

BTW, those tips...every nite we ordered 2-4 appetizers, 2 main courses, one nite I ordered 3, no additional charge, waiters didn't even blink...ate in the buffet a couple of times, but even then, we got to the "DELI" when it opened...not bad and no line...same with the pizza...head over there on port days, andf you'll have it all to yourself...the buffet itself was meh.....didn't miss it.

Bless them. They really do deserve their holidays/vacation as they work so hard and they are so nice all of the time.

I remember at the end of a cruise in Puerto Rico, we met several of the waiters in one of the local hotels. They were flying out next day back to their homelands. They looked so happy and relieved to be going home to their families.

We had lots of chatting with them that night. Wonderful souls.

I have some happy memories.

Lynn is kind and caring

They ALL were at the end of their contracts...and home by now...no idea what ship they'll be on....after 2 months off...

Glad you enjoyed your meals. We also had the same wait staff.

Its the CCL APP you use onboard for just about everything...sometimes its easier, sometimes its a PITA...in the old days the cell would go in the safe for a week...not anymore..(((sigh)))

What is HUB??

Geez, no wonder why it seemed to me like the Vista was listing to one side. It was probably the side you were staying on.

BTW: I looked for you a couple times, but you never showed yourself.

Would you consider this an achievement ?
