SO YOU NEEDED CCL'S WEBSITE FOR SOMETHING?

Sept 16-17...everybodys website needs maintenance eventually...but TWO DAYS??? riiiiight...I'm used to corporate lying, and ineptitude...what does it really take for them to prevent folks from booking cruises, tours, whatever for two days??..there seems to be a corporate world rule about admitting to a hack sometimes MONTHS after it happens...if ever....I'd suggest you keep track of all your cruises with them,..make sure they don't disappear...and log into whatever credit/debit card you use REGULARLY, which is a wise thing to do anyway...besides, I'd never ever use a debit card for much of anything....its way easier to deal with a credit card company if theres a problem....(oh, you NEED to log in for an upcoming cruise in a few days???tsk tsk....and calling them won't work either...their reps use the same system...and so does your TA...oh well)

Well its back and working...logged in, our next one and all subsequent ones are there..I couldn't find anything that changed, altho its possible there are some minor tweeks i wouldn't have noticed. Whatever happened "behind the scenes" I still say taking a cruise lines website down for two days "for maintenance" must've caused some serious discussions up on mahogany row. Yas yas..I'm a cynic...ESPECIALLY where corporate fol-de-rol is concerned...start with "they lie" and work north from there...or in CCL's case...south....

Glad I got my next cruise paid in full yesterday. I only hope that they dont't make this a nightmare to navigate once it's back online. We constantly monitor our credit cards and I frequently (weekly or more) check my cruise information. Thanks for the heads-up!

This sounds more like a complete platform migration and is a necessary evil for any system that has been in use for a while. The fact that it is announced with defined timelines would indicate that this was a planned event and not a reactionary plan. The latter tend to be more abrupt in their interruptions as in immediately.

Always good to do as Yankee47 has suggested because things do tend to happen and things do tend to go sideways from time to time.
