So would we! But at least it wouldn’t involve changing air and or hotels. The cruise line would probably lose our business. But it would give us time to decide what to do.

Rational explanation of the irrational. However, I took a quick look at the

NCL reservations pages. Looks like they left ONE cruise intact for ESCAPE...in Dec 24...that's one cruise for the ship out of Galveston period!???

They are trying to be fluid and flexible in times where things change quickly. Wonder if the bookings were low enough that they figured best to change.

Technically, you're right about it being far enough in advance to change plans...but i gotta tell you, considering the thought and planning we do, even after all these cruises, I think we would be highly pissed....and then......

At least those are far enough in the future that re-assessing your travel arangements are possible. I feel sorry for those who must change plans. However, maybe the new plan will be better. Yes, I am being the "Pollyanna" in this situation.

If they were onboard glitches, that could have happened on ANYBODY'S ship, and often does. Everybody in here knows all about that. The whole thrust of this article was how BAD their CORPORATE planning must be to have to cancel THREE MONTHS of advance bookings probably worth several million dollars (who knows) plus the loss of goodwill involved. There must be tens of thousands of passengers involved..I'm sure the TA's and the Port of Galveston are all just thrilled to death too...

That doesn't surprise me in the least. When I was on the Bliss, several things went wrong that could have gone a little better with a little more planning on the cruise line's part.
